IAMHER Society highly values your privacy. In this privacy statement, we explain which personal data we collect, why we do so, how long we retain it, and what rights you have. We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Which personal data do we collect?
We collect only the data that you provide to us yourself. Specifically, this concerns:

In addition, order and payment details are processed when placing an order in our webshop (such as order date, purchased ticket, and payment status). The payment itself is processed via our payment service provider; we do not receive or store full payment details ourselves, such as account or credit card numbers.
We deliberately do not collect special categories of personal data, such as data regarding health, religion, or ethnic background.
3. Why do we process your data?

We never use your data for automated decision-making or profiling with legal consequences.
4. How long do we retain your data?
We do not retain your data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Waitlist and newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent. If you have not engaged with our emails for three years, we will delete your data from our database.
Ticket and order data: seven years, based on the statutory tax retention obligation.
Data regarding how you found us: a maximum of two years, after which we will only use this information in an anonymized and aggregated form.
Email correspondence: a maximum of two years after the last contact.
5. With whom do we share your data?
We never sell your data to third parties. We share data exclusively with parties that help us deliver our services. These parties receive only the data they need to deliver the services.
Our hosting provider and website administrator — for the management and storage of our website and webshop.
Our email marketing service (Flodesk) — for sending our newsletter and waitlist updates.
Our payment service provider (Mollie) — for processing payments. Our integration service (Zapier) — for the automatic transfer of data between the above-mentioned systems.
Our accountant and the Tax and Customs Administration — to the extent required by law.
Location partners
When an event takes place at an external location or partner, we generally only share the number of participants. If it is necessary for the execution to share names (for example, for a guest list at the door), we limit this to the strictly necessary.
6. Cookies
Our website uses functional cookies that are necessary for the website and webshop to function properly, for example, to remember your shopping cart. In addition, we may place analytical and marketing cookies. For non-essential cookies, we ask for your prior consent via the cookie notification on our website. You can adjust your preferences at any time via your browser settings or via our cookie notification.
7. How do we secure your data?

Article 1 — Definitions
In these general terms and conditions, the following terms are defined as:
IAMHER Society / we / us: IAMHER Society, established in Rotterdam, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number [insert Chamber of Commerce number].
Participant / you: the natural person who purchases a ticket, takes out a membership, or participates in an event.
Event: any meeting, activity, or experience organized by IAMHER Society, regardless of the form.
Ticket: the admission ticket for a specific event, in the form provided by us.
Membership: a continuous agreement granting you access to the community and the associated benefits.
Website: iamhersociety.nl, including the webshop.
Location Partner: the external location, instructor, or supplier with whom we collaborate for an event.
Article 2 — Applicability
2.1 These terms and conditions apply to all offers, orders, tickets, memberships, and events of IAMHER Society.
2.2 By placing an order or taking out a membership, you agree to these terms and conditions. 2.3 We make these terms and conditions available electronically before or at the time of concluding the agreement, so that you can save them and consult them later.
2.4 Deviations from these terms and conditions apply only if we have confirmed them in writing.
2.5 We may amend these terms and conditions. For current memberships, we will inform you at least thirty days before the changes take effect. If you do not agree with a change that affects you to your disadvantage, you may cancel your membership as of the effective date of the change.
Article 3 — Conditions of Participation
3.1 IAMHER Society is a community for women. Our events are intended for women aged 21 and over.
3.2 To purchase a ticket or take out a membership, you must be a woman, be at least 18 years old, and have the legal capacity to act.
3.3 We may ask for a valid form of identification upon entry. 3.4 We reserve the right to refuse participation or to terminate a ticket or membership if these conditions are not met or if the behavior of a participant gives cause for this, as described in Article 10.
Article 4 — Tickets and conclusion of the agreement
4.1 All offers on the website are non-binding and valid while stocks last. Our events have a limited number of places.
4.2 The agreement is concluded at the moment we confirm your order by email and payment is completed.
4.3 If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us via [info@iamhersociety.nl]. Without a valid confirmation, you are not entitled to access.
4.4 Obvious errors or mistakes in prices, texts, or availability on the website are not binding on us. If an evidently incorrect price has been applied, we may cancel the order and fully refund the amount paid.
4.5 A ticket grants access to one person for the event, the date, and the time slot stated on the ticket. 4.6 A ticket is personal. Transfer to someone else is permitted provided you notify us by email at least 48 hours before the start, including the name and email address of the new participant, and the new participant meets the participation conditions. This excludes member-only events.
4.7 Resale of tickets at a price higher than the original ticket price, or resale via commercial platforms, is not permitted. In the event of a violation, we may declare the ticket invalid without the right to a refund.
Article 5 — Prices and payment
5.1 All prices are in euros and include VAT, unless expressly stated otherwise.
5.2 Any transaction or service fees will be clearly displayed before the order is finalized.
5.3 Payment is made via the payment methods offered in the webshop and is processed through our payment service provider Stripe, Square, or PayPal. Payment is completed at the time of ordering.
5.4 For memberships with periodic payments, the amount is debited at the beginning of each payment period. 5.5 If payment for a membership is not received, we may suspend access to membership benefits until payment has been made. We will inform you of this in advance and give you a reasonable period to make the payment.
Article 6 — Right of Withdrawal
6.1 Event Tickets
The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to event tickets. These concern services relating to leisure activities for which a specific date or period of performance is provided for in the agreement, as referred to in Article 6:230p sub e of the Dutch Civil Code. A ticket purchase is therefore final. We explicitly point this out before finalizing the order.
6.2 Memberships: For memberships, you do have a statutory cooling-off period of fourteen days, calculated from the day of concluding the agreement.
Article 7 — Photography and Video Recording
7.1 During our events, photos and/or video recordings may be made by IAMHER Society or by persons engaged by us, for the purpose of creating impressions of the event and for use in our marketing communications, including but not limited to our website and social media channels.
7.2 By purchasing a ticket and attending the event, you acknowledge that photography and video recording may take place during the event.
7.3 If you do not wish to appear in photos or video recordings, you may indicate this to us at the start of the event, in the manner communicated to you on-site. We will make reasonable efforts to take this into account, for example by directing the photographer or videographer accordingly. We cannot guarantee that you will not appear in wide shots, group images, or background footage of the venue.
7.4 If you nonetheless discover that you are recognizably featured in published material and object to this, you may contact us at [info@iamhersociety.nl]. We will assess your request and remove or adjust the relevant material within a reasonable period, unless we have an overriding legitimate interest in continued use.
